New release and New pre-order

The Invisible Amateur is out this Friday! If you haven’t pre-ordered the ebook yet you can do so here and make sure that you get yourself a copy as soon as it’s midnight! Only two and a half days to go.

TheFemaleCharmMediumThe fourth book in the Mycroft Holmes Adventures series is also now available to pre-order here and will be released on February 13th next year. Less than three months away!

Here’s a blurb:

Politics is Mycroft’s focus for the moment, but it calls him to Scotland, somewhere very much outside of London. When Sherlock refuses to help and instead enlists Amelia, Mycroft has to decide if his personal amateur is up to the task.

Despite all the scrapes and bruises, Amelia is still willing to learn from the Holmes brothers, but these latest lessons are on a whole new level. Does she have the skills she needs to survive? And is she really prepared for being in the Holmes world?

I’ve also almost finished the first drafts of 5 and 6 in the series and can confirm both will be out next year. Hopefully around early May and mid July respectively.

Two fantasy and sci-fi boxsets: Legends & Legacy

The first of two great multi-author boxsets is out today for only 99p/99c. Legends is a collection of Sci-fi and fantasy stories and has my very own Sherdan’s Prophecy among the 13 awesome books included.

Legends-SherdansprophecyThis is a total steal for that many fantastic books so grab a copy here.

Legacy promoAlso out in only two days time (and available to pre-order here) is the sister boxset with another of my ebooks in. This boxset has Wandering to Belong and is one of 10 great stories. Several of which feature dragons! What more could you want?

The Unexpected Coincidence: New Release

It’s only three days until the second book in the Mycroft Holmes Adventures series is released and it’s already up for pre-order here.

TheUnexpectedCoincidence_mediumHere’s the blurb for this shiny new book (please don’t read if you’ve not read the first one, instead go grab that here while it’s free):

Amelia Jones has turned Mycroft’s world upside down but he’s oddly satisfied. For a woman she’s in control of her emotions and eager enough to learn that he finds enjoyment in teaching her, but she’s not perfect and Mycroft isn’t used to people making mistakes.

Spending time with the Holmes brothers came with a threat Amelia expected, but when the danger comes from her own line of work, she doesn’t know where to turn. Can she keep Mycroft happy with her progress, while also keeping herself safe?

To celebrate the launch there’s a facebook event on Friday with plenty of opportunities to win prizes, including having a character named after you in the fourth book of the series and you can check that out here.

A Fire’s Sacrifice

This is my latest release and is the fifth fantasy story I’ve had published and is sort of the fifth tale in my Ethanar series. I say sort of because it’s a loose series. All the stories are separate characters and so far separate places but they do build up the world collectively and I will have some of the people and places appearing in the epic novels set in the same world so it’s worth reading these and getting a taste for the coming full length fantasy novels.

A Fire’s Sacrifice has it’s own shiny page and blurb and all that for those curious about this story, but to add to that, it’s a bit of a mash up between period, domestic slavery, class friction and fantasy all melded into one.

You can buy it already at the bargain price of $1.99 0r £1.43 from any of the amazon stores, but for speed Amazon.com, and Amazon.co.uk. I’m also throwing a mini launch party on facebook for anyone who would like to come join in. There will be the chance to win several of my eBooks and probably other things to boot.

Quite excitingly this is my tenth published story in my ninth publication under my own personal name and completes the set of tales I’ll be packaging together with more information on the Ethanar world early next year.

End of the Road: Anthology Release

A few months back I got the opportunity to submit a short story on the theme ‘End of the Road’ to a group of fantastic authors and the ebook is now out!

Blurb – Roads end. They begin somewhere, too. In between, all manner of things happen: friendship, betrayal, horror and maybe even joy. For some, the End of the Road brings love and happiness, for others agony and suffering, and for a precious few, sorrow may lead to something revelatory. The potholes and pitfalls found in this anthology are many, but for every character, there is an end of the road.

This road ends in a collection of short stories by 31 of the most gifted writers of our time, with stories from action and mystery superstars Russell Blake, Traci Tyne Hilton and Mike Meyer; romance stars Jeanette Raleigh, C A Newsome, Suzie O’Connell, Kathleen Steed and Anna J.McIntyre; and from cutting edge science fiction and fantasy authors Saxon Andrew, Stephen Arseneault, John Daulton, and JRC Salter; post-apocalyptic and dystopian authors Brandon Hale, Scott Langrel, Dale Roberts and Jess Mountifield. Intended for lovers of short fiction everywhere, the End of the Road is a must read for anyone intent on keeping current with the literary scene.

That’s not every author involved but it’s a good chunk of them and the full list can be found on the book’s page on goodreads and a free copy for any ereader can be picked up on Smashwords. Yup, that’s right. It’s free.

A print version will hopefully appear soon as well as, hopefully free, version on Amazon and other stores for any that want to get it elsewhere, but Smashwords does have kindle and Ipad compatible formats already for those who can’t wait.

My story is called Sherdan’s Road and is a sequel of sorts to the books in the Sherdan series although it’s quite a bit in the future of Sherdan’s life and there will be several more books before it. So it’s great for those who want a sneak peak into what might happen to Sherdan.

Upcoming events

There’s two events happening that I’d like to draw people’s attention too.

The first is happening this evening at Roseberry Road arts studio in Bath, just off lower Bristol Road, and is a literary and performance night. There’s going to be lots of writerly based activities and readings as well as some easy listening jazz and I think some other performance style things. It’s sure to be fun and on top of that any poems tweeted with the hashtag #freedomarts will be projected on a display during the evening.

I’m going to be there of course so drop in and say hi or at the least come up with some funky short poetry.

Secondly this time next week it’s my birthday and in honour of that I’m launching the latest ebook Chains of Freedom.

This has been in the works for a while and is another historical adventure with romance novel. For the launch date the price is going to be reduced to $0.99/£0.77 and then the day after it will be raised to it’s full price again. There’s a facebook event page here with lots more details and is open invite so anyone can invite anyone else.

In the next couple of days I’ll create a book page on the website here for it and post a few reviews as they come in.

In the mean time I hope you like the front cover and will consider making my birthday special and joining the facebook group.
